The Story of Love & Grief
From wedding vows to funeral wakes, gold jewelry has a long history of colliding with both love and grief. Even the creative process shifts and shapes between the emotional highs and lows. From pouring heart into every handcrafted piece to bidding it farewell as it goes to the wearer. From raw metal to timeless memento, there are moments of love and grief.
Every Piece Has a Path
From the depths of the earth to the design studio to your hand, every finished Love & Grief piece is on a path, becoming a product of the energy surrounding it along the way.
Made For You, Made to be Worn
Every Love & Grief piece is dreamt up and made to order in my Nashville studio. The design process is rooted in pieces that are personal, not cookie-cutter perfect. Subtle elements of hand-sculpted work often reveal themselves on final designs, making each piece one of a kind.
Woman-Owned, Made For All
I’m Caroline Kraft, Chief Lover, Mourner, Designer, and Founder of Love & Grief. A life-long jewelry collector and vintage enthusiast, I founded Love & Grief in 2020 after refining my process at the esteemed New Approach School for Jewelers in Tennessee, and officially launched Love & Grief in 2021. My sculptural designs are made by hand and made to be worn and loved by all.
